Wet the bar and work up a lather between your hands or on a washcloth, then wash and rinse.
For scrub bars, use light pressure. Let the grit do the work.

To get the most out of it, keep it on a draining soap dish and out of the shower stream between uses. A bar that dries out between washes lasts noticeably longer.
